Michelle Timeline

Michelle Mortensen’s personal life is relatively quiet. However, her agenda today is a bit differnt than just a few short years ago. Supporters will discount hew “issues”, but thereare “issues” that voters must be made aware of, before they cast their vote in the CD3 Primary in June (early voting starts May 26, 2018). You decide!

First and foremost, she has, at times, been very critical of Donald Trump. In particular, during the 2016 election cycle. Once she announced her candidacy, she now says she fully supports the President. Hopefully, in the event she is elected, she will now remain a true supporter of him! Too many politicians say one thing to get elected, then, once elected, vote very differently!

Facts show Michelle has joined with other media and political activists in attempting to undermine his pro-life values and his overall competency and intelligence. Michelle has made statements in favor of gay marriage and gay adoption, which many Republican primary voters will object to. These are minor issues and the Republican Party should embrace all supporters, including gays and lesbians.

Interestingly, she is asking for your vote. Her voting record should be reviewed when she is asking for your vote, but has not always voted herself! She has lived in Nevada since around 2012 (she recorded the deed to her current home in January 2012). One would conclude that she has had more than enough time to register to vote in Clark County before the 2012 Primary, but chose not to register until September 16, 2012.

Last but not least, she is running as a “Consumer Advocate”. In fact, she has “helped” renters in Nevada. But her own history as an property owner, with her husband and other family (James), in Florida, shows she has not always been a consumer advocate. In addition, in a recent interview, she stated she has never been party in any lawsuits. Because of situations in Florida, she was in fact named on lawsuits!

Michelle, her husband and family, bought three homes in Florida at or near the height of the housing boom. It is worth noting one house (in Charlotte County Florida) was in default to Freddie Mac, meaning they defaulted on a loan from the federal government implicitly guaranteed by taxpayers. Most importantly, there were at least two families, the Jacobs and Rivera families, who were forced to move out when they stopped paying the mortgage. In particular, the Rivera family sought to purchase the house and his plans were crushed when Mr. Rivera lost his job and had paid at least $5,000 in a rent-to-own arrangement. At the same time they sold the house out from under them!

While Michelle’s name is not on the deeds the couple had been married for over a year when the rental properties were foreclosed upon. As an equal partner in the marriage, Michelle is just as responsible as her husband is for meeting the financial obligations of the family.

Democrats are generally the ones the mislead voters thru their hypocrisy, but Republicans need to be very clear and transparent, if we are to help President Trump “Drain the Swamp”! We cannot afford to send another Nevada politician to Washington DC that runs on issues, but conveniently forget to be forthcoming of their own issues.

On Sept. 23, 2009, Donna Sodaker replied to the Rivera family: I just received notification from Robert Marshall that he has stopped making payment on this home and will be listing it for a short sale as the home is worth far less today than what he paid for it. His monthly payment to the bank is in excess of $1,700 $1,700 and the payment that you make to him, when you make it, is far less. At this time, you do not need to continue making payments as he will not be sending them to the bank. Our rep..Read More

February 20, 2010, the Rivera family was renting-to-own the house in Volusia County, Florida. They sent a letter after being notified of the foreclosure: I’m writing this letter to the court because we are the tenants in possession of the subject property. We signed a rent to own agreement on November of 2007. We gave $5,000 for the down payment which was to go towards the balance of the purchase price. The agreement was revised on May of 2008 to lower the monthly payments and the purchase price. Due to the economy and losing my job, we hit a rock..Read More

June 12, 2012 – And never has this been needed more than right now when the housing market went bust in Nevada. Property values crashed and rental rates skyrocketed. 5 years after the collapse, apartment rental rates are higher than ever before. So how can you get a deal? You gotta ask for it and it helps. If your history says you’re worthy of the deal, if you have good credit, if you have a solid employment history, if you have good references, you need to mention that, because that makes you a model tenant, and in this environment, model..Read More

March 25, 2015 – Landlords and tenants don’t always play by the rules … And when that happens, you have to fight back. But to do that, you gotta know the law!Stand-up if your landlord does nothing, you do have defenses. They’re written out here in the law. You can withhold rent, even fix it yourself and send them the bill. But document everything, because battles like these aren’t easy and they could try to evict you, which would land you in court!

On October 4, 2016, Michelle Mortensen retweeted pollster Frank Luntz, agreeing Trump should “shut up and let Mike Pence do the talking from now on.” In response, Mortensen said, “Lol! You’re right!!” By doing so, Mortensen perpetuates the idea that Donald Trump is unintelligent, incompetent, or otherwise unfit to be President of the United States.

We present the facts, then you decide!  Here are a few key facts that are somewhat troublesome for voters:
  • Michelle does not believe President Trump supports the right to life and thinks Progressive Democrat Tim Kaine is more pro-life than the President
  • During the 2016 Presidential campaign, Michelle joined Progressives, Democrats, and liberals in criticizing President Trump as “inarticulate, unprepared, and unsuited to be President
  • Michelle has criticized President Trump for not being sufficiently pro-life
  • Michelle opposes the REAL ID Act, which ensures that terrorists and illegal aliens are not able to forge driver’s licenses to get onto aircraft
  • Michelle does not support religious liberty and is strongly in favor of gay marriage
  • Michelle wants your vote in the upcoming Primary, however has failed to vote any Primary since relocating to Nevada in early 2012
  • Michelle pledges to help get America’s fiscal house in order, but she cannot manage her own finances and had three homes foreclosed upon and her tenants forced into the street
  • Michelle took Federal government loans to finance investment properties, and then defaulted on the loans
  • Michelle is, or recently was an investor in a foreign alcohol manufacturing company which is a major stakeholder in a Canadian marijuana cultivation company which is looking to sell marijuana in the United States
  • Michelle lied about her resume, claiming to have worked for national political figures who she was never employed by
